EFQM

EFQM is a non-for-profit membership foundation created in 1989 by the CEOs of prominent European organisations. Specifically designed to help organisations achieve Excellence in their business initiatives, the EFQM organisation works to capture the best practices of globally-minded organisations and to turn this knowledge into practical resources for the business community.

EFQM is a vibrant network of organisations that share the same ambitions to drive excellence through the organisation and aspire to reach excellence results.

EFQM is a globally-recognised brand. Thousands of organisations across the world use the principles of EFQM to guide their business strategy and operations in alignment with their mission and goals.

EFQM Today

Currently, over 700 organisations comprise the EFQM Network, through which, over 20,000 individuals are closely linked to EFQM's activities. EFQM has recently created a leadership initiative, called The Pact, which is an exclusive group of private and public sector leaders who will take a leadership position in driving the Excellence movement in the years to come. The first EFQM members to join the Pact are: BMW, EDF, Grundfos, Philips, Solvay and Unilever.

Knowledge

The EFQM Excellence Model embeds the principles of Excellence in a framework that helps organsations assess their capabilities and strengths in order to achieve their particular goals.

Networking

The EFQM Annual Forum will take place on 1-3 October 2007 in Athens, Greece. This year's event will focus on building high performing organisations.

Recognition

The gala celebration during the EFQM Annual Forum will highlight the 2007 EFQM Excellence Award winners.
