== Cancelling my account ==

I have been with Wikipedia for awhile and have decided that I want to close my account. I want to leave in good style and not by having to do vandalism. Dont worry I wont do that I just want to have my account closed because I dont feel that I want to do anything more with Wikipedia. When you cancel my account leave a message on my talk page that it is cancelled. Thank you. [[User:John R G|John R G]] 18:49, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

House rules
Allegedly, any notices left here will reach the ears of HereToHelp. If that is indeed the case, you'll want your entry to look presentable:
  • Use a new header for each topic.
  • Newest on the bottom.
  • Use colons to indent, never bullets. (hypocrite? what's that supposed to mean?)
  • Watch this page for 24 hours or so for a response.
  • Use correct speling, grammar; and Capitalization.
  • If you complain, be civil and no personal attacks. (that means you, POVing scumbag!)
  • You'll have to dig through the fossil record for older entries. (and hope they aren't extinct.)
  • Happy editing!

Aka the fossil record. (Ooh! Fossilized Homo wikipediens!)

Animated Gun Turret

I notice that you voted against the promotion of the Animated Gun Turret on the Featured Picture Candidates pages; however, User:Emscopes, the creator of the image, has retooled it to reflect the suggestions of those who voted oppose. I was wondering if you would take another look at the photo and see if the new version warrented a change in your vote. Thank You TomStar81 (Talk) 21:37, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure thing. thanks for telling me.--HereToHelp 21:38, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Am I not right in thinking the image goes on the left where it faces into the page? - Kittybrewster (talk) 21:42, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I've always seen it on the right. In my browser, it also pushed the table of contents down, and it looked odd. If you look in other articles, there's either an infobox or a regular image to the right.--HereToHelp 21:58, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Diamond facets

You might be surprised to find out, but the Diamond facets.svg file that you linked to was a copyright violation at the time. I have fixed the svg file's copyright notice.

Personally, I think it might be better to keep the .gif file, but crop out a few blank pixels so that it would be more likely to display at 100%. I will try that option one of these days.

Thank you for fixing that. However, vector graphics (.svg) are generally regarded as superior to raster graphics (.gif, .png, .jpg) when a vector is available. This is because vector graphics can be scaled indefinitely and will give smooth lines not matter how much they are blown up. That's not to say all rasters are bad (photographs should remain .jpg), but for line graphics like what we're dealing with now, vector is preferred.--HereToHelp 14:32, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

International wheelchair symbol

Hi again. A while back we had a discussion now located at Template talk:Non-free Mozilla logo#Why must Mozilla logos be used sparingly?. I want to let you know that there's another discussion on a related topic underway at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#Use of international wheelchair symbol. Your comments would be welcome. —Remember the dot (talk) 15:06, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
