I am removing one, if not a few names, until I have better evidence that they appeared in vaudeville. Some entries are referenced in Laurie's Vaudeville, but little information is provided.

Louis Armstrong 4 August 1901 6 July 1971 American Jazz trumpeter, singer and musician. The reference provides no further information other than that Armstrong appeared in vaudeville. [1]
Balto c. 1922 14 March 1933 Dog who led a dogsled team from Anchorage, Alaska to Nome carrying life-saving medication.
Black Herman 1892 April 1934 American Magician No source specifically states he performed in vaudeville.
Robert Bloch 5 April 1917 23 September 1994 American Actor. No information, except for his current Wikipedia article, that states he performed in vaudeville. He may have written some vaudeville sketches, but likely did not perform.
Billie Burke 7 August 1885 14 May 1970 American Singer, dancer, actress and Ziegfeld star. Wife of Florenz Ziegfeld. Still trying to find a good source thats states she was in vaude.
Jimmy Dorsey 29 February 1904 12 June 1957 American Clarinetist, saxophonist and bandleader. The reference only says he toured, does not specify vaudeville. [2]
