"I'm a Flirt" is a song by Bow Wow featuring R. Kelly. The song was scheduled to be the second single released from Bow Wow's fifth album The Price of Fame but was the decision was changed to "Outta My System". Instead, it appears as a bonus track on the album.
Remix
In February, the "I'm a Flirt" (Remix) was released, which included R. Kelly, T.I., and T-Pain and gathered significant radio support. This remix does not include Bow Wow. R. Kelly is releasing this version on his new album, Double Up. The making of the music video of this song was released on Access Granted on March 7. The remix can be heard at R. Kelly's and T-Pain's Myspace pages.
There are other unofficial remixes to this song, one being with T.I, T-Pain Trey Songz and E-40, which can be found on Trey's Myspace page. Another is with an independent rapper named Cyrano adding in a verse before T.I. and T-Pain's. Some others are extended remixes, such as The Fry's remix, featuring Ludacris, Twista, Chris Brown, Ciara, and Lil Wayne. It's length is 8:10. There's also the Midas Touch remix, which uses a different beat than the original.
Unique chart methodology
For the song's chart run in the United States, Billboard magazine is listing both versions of the song at one position on its music charts, even though R. Kelly's version is getting more radio play and downloads. This was explained in Michael Paoletta's "Inside Track" column in the March 3, 2007 print edition of the magazine:[1]
The song has been recorded with both Bow Wow and R. Kelly. Bow Wow's version features Kelly, who co-penned the track, while Kelly's version features T.I. and T-Pain. Due to the similar characteristics of each song, the plays for both versions will be totalled under one chart listing. "I'm a Flirt" first appeared on Bow Wow's Columbia/Sony Music album 'The Price of Fame' as a bonus hidden track. iTunes shoppers, though, can purchase the track as a single, as Columbia has download rights — but not the singles rights to promote it to radio. Kelly, meanwhile, is recording his new album 'Double Up' (due May 29) for Jive; it will include his version of the song.
