Big Buck Hunter is a Hunting Arcade Game developed by Play Mechanix, Inc. in 2001. It has spawned a series of sequels including Big Buck Hunter II, Big Buck Hunter Call of the Wild, and Big Buck Hunter 2005/2006. Its most recent development is a two player simultaneous game called Big Buck Hunter Pro.

The aim of Big Buck Hunter is simple. Players chose between 4 zones of North America (In Big Buck Hunter II, Canada is also a choice) and play either 5 rounds, a region, or 20 rounds, a tour, consisting of 4 regions in the selected zone. The game is considered a particularly good value as a single round cannot be played and 5 rounds may be played for as little as a dollar. The aim is to shoot as many of the three male deer (bucks) on any given screen without shooting any female deer (does). Bonuses are awarded for shooting two (double buck) or three (triple buck) and for accuracy. The round ends when a doe is shot or the three bucks in the round run off. The game can be played by up to 4 players who compete for the best score. At the end of each region, a bonus round is played where greater points are awarded for accuracy and shooting at various targets, such as clay pigeons, targets, critters, etc.

Big Buck Hunter Pro is the latest Big Buck hunter development in the series. It offers advanced graphics, and 2 player simultaneous hunting.

Big Buck Hunter Pro allows you to pick between five types of hunts: Deer, Elk, Moose, Antelope, Rams. Each area has 5 different hunt locations. At the end of the area, there is one bonus round.
