Rîbniţa (Romanian: Рыбница, Rybnitsa) is a city in Transnistria (Moldova) and is the seat of the Administrative Region of Rîbniţa.

Rîbniţa was founded in 1628 as a Moldavian village.

In 2005, Rîbniţa had a population of 53,648,[1] out of which 45% were Ukrainians, 25% Moldovans, 24% Russians, and 6% others. A major steel factory exists in the city, which traditionally has accounted for between 40% to 50% of Transnistria's GDP (with the exception of the export of arms).

The main street is the town is Ulitsa Pobedy [Victory steet]. There is only one supermarket, "Sheriff", owned by the son of Transnistria's breakaway leader Igor Smirnov. The cultural life of the city is rich. A dance group "Yunost'" has been taking part in the most prestigious competitons in the world.
