Megan Rochell (born August 19 1985) is an American R&B/Soul singer, who is signed to Def Jam Records. Megan was born Megan Rochell Nieves in Brooklyn, New York to an African American mother and a Puerto Rican father. At the age of eleven, she performed on It's Showtime at the Apollo, singing Monica's "Before You Walk Out My Life". She was then discovered by Nathan Morris, a member of the multi-platinum recording group Boyz II Men.
You, Me & The Radio (Debut Album)
You, Me and the Radio is the debut album by Megan Rochell The first single was "The One You Need", produced by Rodney Jerkins, and featured rapper and labelmate Fabolous. She has worked with The Corner Boys, Rodney Jerkins, The Underdogs and Ryan Leslie among others. The second single is confirmed to be "Let Go". "Let Go" is in the midst or gaining airplay on rhythmic radio stations across the country. As of February 15th, "Let Go" ranked #40, down from it's 35th position on R&R's Rhythmic National Airplay chart.
