Wikipedia is an encyclopedia

Please, please, this article would be better off as a short stub than as a long first-person narrative. It sounds like some excerpt from a magazine article. Apatterno 06:01, 9 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, it seems like someone copied and pasted from an online article, hopefully someone can clean this up -Jeff 20:44, 6 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
prsguitars.com/inside/story.html It is a copy-paste (the prs story), and probably it is also part of a guitar brochure by PRS. Perhaps it should be replaced with a summary. MATIA 23:41, 17 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That makes it a copyvio and I ripped the offending text out. - furrykef (Talk at me) 17:19, 11 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Recent changes / call for more work

I recently added a large amount of text to this page. I tried to keep it NPOV, but my perspective is simply that of a person who loves to play and work on guitars, and owns 3 PRS instruments.

I'd encourage anyone with something to add to be bold in doing so. In particular, we're in need of a non-copyvio image to replace the current one. -Ikkyu2 23:48, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I live in Stevensville so I might be able to get a picture of the factory, that is if I can remember to take one. -Jeff 18:34, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is the section on Legal Issues of any real relevance in an encyclopedia? If trademark/copyright issues were listed for every company mentioned in Wikipedia, the encyclopedia would consist of precious little else.

It was a bit of a cause celebre with implications for anyone making a vaguely "Les Paul" shaped guitar. (IIRC, it was pointed out by one of the judges that if a PRS were to be mistaken for a Gibson in a smokey bar, it would be Gibson who would benefit.) I would say it's more a historical point - maybe it should be re-labelled "The Gibson Lawsuit".NickS 13:28, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MEKAAL HASSAN?

Is this some guy who wanted to put his name in? Just a notice: We dont care if you have a myspace band with 20000 friends, you're not notable unless you have a record label.--Geobeedude 22:07, 25 November 2006 (UTC)Geobeedude[reply]
