Because I Love It is the third studio album by American R&B singer Amerie.

Because I Love It has been two years in the making. Originally set for an Autumn 2006 release, and originally to be called None of the Above, the album was released on May 14 2007 in the United Kingdom,[1] and is currently scheduled for release on August 21 2007 in the U.S.[2] On May 5 2007, the whole album was leaked onto the Internet.[3]

Amerie appeared at G-A-Y at the London Astoria in London on 21 April 2007, in one of her first shows in London and Europe to promote "Take Control" and the new album.[4]

Amerie was also set to give her first concert, the "2007 Amerie Love Korea Live Concert", in Korea, May 24–May 25 at the AX Hall in Seoul.[5] The concert was to be sponsored by Pearl S. Buck International Korea, the foundation for people of mixed heritage, with part of the proceeds being donated to the foundation. The concert was canceled by Korean organizer- K2M Entertainment, due to “internal” issues. [6]
