XMIND is a new mind mind-mapping/visual-thinking software tool. It is developed with Java by Mango Software Labs, Beijing,China.
XMIND applies global leading Eclipse RCP architecture which is an efficient and easy-using visual thinking tool, and also be a cross-platform software.

XMIND offers a rich selection of features for creating meaningful maps to illustrate your ideas and plans in a visually vivid and memorable way.
- Markers
Markers are used to label specific meaning to topics and classify them into groups, which can be used as criteria for topic selection. The markers are organized into groups based on their types. There are two main marker groups in XMIND: System Markers and Custom Markers.
- Relationships
You can draw lines to link any topics,and these lines can represent any kind of relationship:related ideas in a brainstorm,ancestry in a family tree,order in a sequence and etc.
- Boundaries
Boundary is used to emphasize the selected topics, making them more integrity.
- Outline View
In XMIND,Outline View shows titles of all the topics indented to represent their levels in the linear structure.In this view,it simplifies the extra information attached to topics(such as relationship,boundary,images) in order to help users focus on the structure of the map.
- Notes
Notes are used to include more detailed information for topics,such as formatted text and images. Users can enter the text or copy it from another document.This additional documentation is especially useful for maps when being exported to a Word or Text file .
- Import & Export
XMIND is compatible with MindManager 5&6 and FreeMind software, so you can import *.mmp files and *.mm files to XMIND. You can export to a Word or PowerPoint file,a PDF, text or Image(s) file.
