Alun Jones (born on the 26 April 1980 in Boksburg, South Africa) is an Australian professional tennis player. He currently resides in Canberra, Australia.

Alun Jones

Jones started playing tennis at age 7. Parents, David (civil engineer) and Susan. Also likes playing rugby, soccer, basketball and cricket. Played the role of Tom Cavendish in the movie Wimbledon[1].

Summer of 2007

He was granted a wildcard to the US Open 2007 [2] under a reciprocal agreement with Australian Open officials[3]. A 20-4 combined record during the summer of 2007 at several Challenger tournaments and one Futures tournament took his world ranking from 198 to a career high of 123 by the start of the US Open[4], where he was eliminated in the first round, losing in four sets to a banged-up Rafael Nadal.
