Alan Davey (born 11 September 1963, in Ipswich, Suffolk) was the bass player in Hawkwind, Bedouin and is still the bass player for The Meads of Asphodel. Best known as the second longest serving member of Hawkwind, joining in 1984 and leaving in June 2007. He had a break from the band between 1996 and 2001.he is now working on a variety of projects including an album with former hawkwind stalwart Simon House which will also feature eastern ambient trance space rock multi instrumentalist Dreamspirit
