Template:Infobox Internet celebrity Lisa Donovan is a Jewish American actress and writer. Her self-produced comedic short films, published under the username LisaNova, are among the most viewed videos on YouTube.

Donovan was a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder before moving to Los Angeles, California in hopes of becoming an actress.[1] There she founded Zappin Productions,[2] a production company specializing in viral videos.

LisaNova on YouTube

Donovan uploaded her first video, "Introducing LisaNova", to YouTube onJune 7, 2006.[3] She has parodied a number of celebrities and public figures, including George W. Bush, Keira Knightley, and Lindsay Lohan, among others. As of July 2007, LisaNova is listed as the 7th most subscribed and 28th most viewed channel on YouTube with over 66,000 subscribers.[4]

On July 10, 2007 Donovan posted a video titled "LisaNova does YOUTUBE!!!!", in which she kidnaps prominent YouTube users and forces them to comment to her subscribers,[5] a reference to wide accusations that she has used bots to send thousands of messages to other YouTube users and created hundreds of fake YouTube accounts for publicity. The video received more than 2 million views as of August 17, 2007. It also received over 1 million views during the first week and is currently her 3rd most popular video with only 400,000 views behind "Teenie Weenie Raw Flesh", which remains her most popular video on YouTube.

MADtv

Lisa Donovan was given a featured player role in MADtv in February of 2007.[6] She debuted in a spoof of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she played Salma Hayek, the producer of the ABC Comedy Ugly Betty.[7] The episode aired on February 172007.
