History

Borer Data Systems Ltd are a UK manufacturer in the field of access control, alarm monitoring systems and attendance management.

Founded in 1975, Borer was the first company in Europe, in 1977, to offer a complete solution of a custom-designed card readers and software, intergrating access control, alarm monitoring and attendance recording on the same system.

The Borer access system has been designed to comply with EU environmental directives including RoHS (2002/95/EC) and WEEE (2002/96/EC).

Borer Data Systems have ISO 9001:2000 and are the first and only access control manufacturer to hold the prestigious “Secured by Design” licence. Secured by Design licensed company status is awarded to those companies producing security products that pass standards and tests nominated by the police service as “Police Preferred Specification”.
