He was educated at [[Stowe, Buckinghamshire|Stowe]] and [[New College, Oxford]]. He was appointed [[Deputy Lieutenant]] of Midlothian in 1960. He succeeded his father in 1974. By his deeds he has achieved neither fame nor notoriety, and his presence in these pages is owed exclusively to an accident of birth.

Neil Archibald Primrose, 7th Earl of Rosebery (b. 11 February 1929), is a Scottish nobleman.
