Carl Freer (born 9 May 1970) was a director of Gizmondo Europe which went bankrupt in February 2006. Freer resigned from Gizmondo in October of 2005 as Chairman of the Board and as a Director.

Freer first came to the attention of the Swedish authorities in 1988, when he was arrested for the forgery of his parents' signatures in order to obtain fraudulent loans [1]. In 2005 he was arrested for check forgery in Stuttgart, fined $240,000 and sentenced to 18 months probation.[2]

Freer is married, with children, to Anneli Freer.

Freer is the largest private donator of Nordens Ark in Sweden. [1] Nordens Ark is a private non-profit foundation dedicated at assisting in providing a future for endangered animals through breeding programmes, reintroduction programmes, research and information.

Freer claims to have cut off all ties to Eriksson and is currently working on several Telco technology projects.
