BFSI
BFSI is a recently evolved acronym for representing the BANKING, FINANCIAL SERVICES & INSURANCE.
This term is used by Indian IT services and ITES/BPO companies more regularly to refer to the outsourced services that they do for companies in these domains.
Banking can include retail, private, corporate, investment, cards etc
Financial services can include stock broking, payment gateways, mutual funds etc
Insurance covers both Life and Non-Life
A lot of data processing, application testing and software development activities are outsourced to companies that specialize in this domain.
