:You are on a dynamic pool, that means that every time you connect to the Internet (or every 24 hours/few days), your IP changes. 69.106.224.0/19 means all IPs from 69.106.224.0 to 69.106.255.255 (ie more or less 8000 addresses). There is no easy way to look up all contribs from a range. There used to be a javascript tool but I can't find it (and you need to be registered in order to use it). ::Thanks everyone for all your help. I thought some of my edits had been interpreted as vandalism, but that is not the case. Knew that my default (non-logged on) id changed sometimes, knew nothing about dynamic pools (there is a lot more that I know nothing about!). Thanks again.

{{unblock|Hard to request an unblock when I've not been given the reasons for the block. "IP-hoping vandal" is not part of my vocabulary. I'd like to know two things: 1) what edits, considered to be vandalism, have been made from this id and 2) what is IP-hoping. I assume if you post a response here I'll be able to access it. Once I understand the reasons for the block, I'll know if an unblock is appropriate or not - and whether to continue with Wikipedia or not. Thanks}}

This IP hasn't been blocked directly, which seems to imply a rangeblock or autoblock. If it's a rangeblock, I haven't yet found it; if it's an autoblock, I won't be able to, without more information. If you would be so kind as to provide the username of the blocking administrator, and the full text of the block reason provided -- both of these should be easily available in the {{unblock-auto}} text that's automatically generated for you on the "you've been blocked" page -- it would help anyone looking into this block. Thanks. – Luna Santin (talk) 09:23, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Is this it?
Editing from 69.106.224.0/19 (your account, IP address, or IP address range) has been disabled by Maxim for the following reason(s): IP-hopping vandal
See our blocking policy for additional information. Your IP address is 69.106.255.221, and the block has been set to expire: 17:06, 5 January 2008.
thanks for helping
I notice that the block was anon-only, account creation blocked. It would be ideal if you could create an account, as your IP is likely to change anyway. An admin will probably follow up with how to do this. The Evil Spartan (talk) 16:45, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
checkY

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

I've unblocked for now, since the vandal probably left, I urge you to create an account ASAP to prevent further inconvenience if the vandal comes back. Thanks.

A couple of questions:
  • how do I view the contributions (edits) made from these two IP addresses (69.106.224.0/19 and 69.106.255.221)?
  • why are there two different IP addesses? I understand that if I don't log on to Wikipedia, my IP address is used, but why are two IP address involved in this block?
I do have a "real" account, just that sometimes I forget to log on (and it seems the Wiki prompt to log on does not always come with the first edit) or, apparently, if logged on but inactive for some time, you are logged off without any notification. Thanks again
I do not believe there is a way for a non-administrator account to view all the contributions from a range of IPs (i.e., 69.106.224.0/19; though I would be glad to be corrected). To view your own contributions, you can go to Special:Mycontributions (you can type that into the search bar on the right too). The Evil Spartan (talk) 22:00, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks everyone for all your help. I thought some of my edits had been interpreted as vandalism, but that is not the case. Knew that my default (non-logged on) id changed sometimes, knew nothing about dynamic pools (there is a lot more that I know nothing about!). Thanks again.
