The Wildlife Experience is a wildlife conservation museum featuring natural history, fine art and film located 10 miles south of Denver, Colorado. The museum houses an extensive collection of natural history exhibits, paintings and sculpture, photography and large-format films. Rotating exhibits are devoted to wildlife conservation efforts and present a wide range of wildlife subjects, themes and learning experiences.

The Wildlife Experience instills respect for habitat and wildlife and inspires efforts to conserve for generations to come through educational, interactive and entertaining experiences.

Exhibitions

Permanent Exhibitions

Wild Colorado - An interactive exhibit that covers four major habitats of Colorado, from the Great Plains to the peaks of the Rocky Mountains. Colorado Profiles - An exhibit that documents the range of habitats found in Colorado through the well-known photography of John Fielder. Vanishing Africa - A natural history exhibit focuses on the grasslands of Africa, the wildlife that can be found there and on the Maasai culture. Discovery Den - An exhibit for children ages six to twelve designed to engage children and enhance their knowledge of animals and the natural world. Cubs Corner - An exhibit for children ages five and under designed to provide a stimulating environment where kids can learn basic concepts and ideas about the natural world. Nurturing Nature - An exhibit featuring artwork provided by Colorado students. Coming Soon: Globeology - A 25,000 square-foot exhibit that will feature eleven biomes of significance on earth.

Rotating Exhibitions

Wild & Woolly: Ice Age Mammals - An interactive exhibit that tells the story of the last Ice Age that ended 10,000 years ago. Society of Animal Artists: Art and the Animal - A fine art exhibit that showcases the finest in wildlife art from around the world.

Extreme Screen Theater

The large format screen, designed by iWERKS, is composed of a proprietary reflective material and measures 45-by-60 feet, covering a 2,700 square-foot area.
