To answer your question, I originally turned in my sysop and checkuser bits having been threatened with "outting" off-wiki by Daniel Brandt. I'd been dealing with a serious issue on WP at the time and felt it the best thing to do. He went ahead and put me on "Hivemind" anyway, and I ended up with the issue I was trying to avoid. After that, all bets were off and now that my personal information is now somewhat public, I can no longer be threatened in that manner anymore.
