Survivor: Guatemala - The Maya Empire is the eleventh season of Survivor, and it is set inside of the ruins of the Maya civilization. Specifically, the series is in Yaxhá-Nakum-Naranjo National Park, located in Guatemala. A preview of the show's location was shown during the finale of Survivor: Palau. The season is set to premiere in September 2005 on CBS. One source says it may premiere the 8th of September.(Source from Survivor Guatemala)

It is not known how many contestants there will be yet. Some original sources say there will be eighteen. Other sources say twenty. Blake Towsley, Bobby Jon Drinkard, Gary Hogeboom, Rafe Judkins, Brooke Struck, Danielle Boatwright, Morgan McDevitt, and Stephenie LaGrossa are the rumored contestants.
