Celebrity impersonators are entertainers who look similar to celebrities and dress to imitate them.

Also known as Look alikes, impressionist, imitators, tribute artist and Impersonators. The interest may have originated with the need or desire to see a celebrity who has passed away. One of the largest examples of this phenomenon is Elvis Presley. There are claimed to be more Elvis Impersonators and Tribute Artist in the world than any other Impersonators. Some figure state there are 30,000 Elvis Impersonators in the world today while others suggest there are only about 500 Elvis Impersonators in the world [1].

A Look alike is someone who simply looks like a famous person but does not need to sound, act or perform like the famous person they resemble, they might get hired to act as a decoy or for appearances at events and modelling;

An impressionist is someone whose mainly sounds or acts or performs like a famous person and often does so as part of a comdeic performance.

A imitator or tribute artist attempts to look, act and sound like a famous person.
