Everyday Shooter is a downloadable shooter video game. It was released on the US PlayStation Store on October 11 2007, and released on the EU Playstation Store 4 months later, on February 14 2008. It was also released on Steam on 8th May 2008

Development

Everyday Shooter was developed by Jonathan Mak using Visual C++.[1] Sony "discovered Everyday Shooter at the 2007 independent Gaming Festival."[2] It was released on the PlayStation Network.[1]

Gameplay

Everyday Shooter is a top-down shooter similar to Asteroids. The player controls a small dot that must navigate eight different levels. On each level the gameplay dynamics change and the player must figure out how to proceed. As the player interacts with the environment their actions cause music to be procedurally generated. Jonathan Mak describes the game as:

...an album of games exploring the expressive power of abstract shooters. Dissolute sounds of destruction are replaced with guitar riffs harmonizing over an all-guitar soundtrack, while modulating shapes celebrate the flowing beauty of geometry.
