Stave Hill is a 5.2 acre park in the London Borough of Southwark, in the area of Rotherhithe and close to Canada Water. Much of the park is what used to be the Stave Dock of the Surrey Commercial Docks, which was filled in in 1984 and then redeveloped by the London Docklands Development Corporation. Much of the park is now an ecological park, meaning that it is a nature reserve close to the centre of London. Since 1988 the park is managed by the Trust for Urban Ecology.
In the park is also an artificial small hill, from which the park takes its name. On top of the hill is a viewing platform from which you have an amazing view over the City of London, Greenwich, South London as well as Canary Wharf.
