Chris Urbanowicz

Christopher Dominic Urbanowicz (born 22 June 1981 in Aslockton, Nottingham) is the lead guitarist of the British rock band Editors. He attended Toothill Comprehensive school in Bingham, Nottinghamshire. He then went on to study music technology at Staffordshire University for three years with the other members of Editors. He then worked in a shoe shop in Birmingham for two years before the band signed to Kitchenware Records.

He has just purchased a flat in Nottingham which sports Le Corbusier sofas and a bright red ferrari telephone. He supports Nottingham Forest Football Club. He is influenced by such bands as The Walkmen, The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Kraftwerk and Elbow. He suffers from synesthesia. Chris features prominently in an amateur music video produced as coursework during his studies at Staffordshire University. Chris has got a penchant for proposing to women in hot air balloons. So far, none have said yes. [1]
