The title ''Singles Breaking Up'' is a reference to the [[Buzzcocks]]' 1979 singles collection ''[[Singles Going Steady]]'', and the unique photos in the liner notes which show the words "DON CABALLERO" spelled out with seven inch vinyl singles being "broken up" as cars drive over them. |

NOT included in this collection (possibly due to their poor sound quality) are "Waltor" and "Shuman Center 91", two songs recorded live in 1992 and released on a free single included with ''Chunklet'' magazine #11 in 1996. |

Singles Breaking Up (Vol. 1) is an album by Don Caballero, a Pittsburgh-based math rock band. Singles Breaking Up (Vol. 1) was released on Touch and Go Records in 1999 and collects songs from five of the band's seven-inch singles, one song from a "various artists" compilation and one previously unreleased song.
