Severed is a zombie film set in a remote logging community following a genetic experiment gone wrong.

Plot

In a remote wilderness loggers and environmental activists must join together to survive against zombies resulting from a logging company's genetic experiments in an attempt to increase lumber production which will in theory lead to a 15% increase in profit.

Premise comparisons to other Zombie films

The zombies in the film Severed are similar to the standard zombie in the way in which they move and such, however there is a slight difference in their appearance in the way that as opposed to having a pale fleshy tone to their skin, many of the zombies have a yellow discoloration of the flesh, with what seem to be dark veins on the side of their head.

As with most zombie movies in order to kill the zombie one must remove its head or destroy the brain, a quote in the movie is “you have to sever the head; it’s the only way to kill them, although wounding a zombie appears to be more easy than in other zombie movies".
