"Rehab"
Song

"Rehab" is the eighth single taken from Rihanna's third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad (2007) in the US and the UK.[1][2] It has also gained some radio play in the U.S.[citation needed] It was written by Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Hannon Lane, with Timberlake and Timbaland contributing backing vocals in the bridge of the song. The song was also played during the commercial for the 2008 comedy-drama film "The Family That Preys".[citation needed] As of October 15, the song has officially entered the top 50 on pop radio.[citation needed]

Release

"Breakin Dishes" was supposed to be the eighth single from the album, however, releasing "Breakin Dishes" was scrapped and "Rehab" was chosen instead. "Rehab" was released to radio on October 7, 2008.[3] "Rehab" had already been slated for release in August, 2008 in the UK but was pushed back due to the digital release of "Disturbia." Even without the official release yet, the song has been starting to pick up on pop radio as of the end of September. It has been played on New York City's Z100 late September. It also been played on Australian radio on Melbourne's Fox FM, Sydney's 2Day FM and Brisbane's B105.[citation needed]

Chart performance

"Rehab" made its first impact on the charts on Billboard's Pop 100, entering at #73 the chart week of October 18, 2008.

The song charted for five weeks on the Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles in September 2007.
