I'm a little confused: why is the date for the new year "second new moon after the winter solstice" and not first day of the year in the traditional korean calender? Do they fall on different days? i mean it's new years holiday right, it just seems a bit awkward —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.23.183.150 (talk) 16:15, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

To be added

To be added to article: the standard greeting for seollal is 새해복많이받으세요

If Korean New Year is related to Chinese New Year because of using similar calendars, other new years using similar calendars should also be related.

And please provide evidence for this claim: Chinese New Year is the common Lunar New Year in all East Asian countries but only different in the national names

Korean New Year and Chinese New Year share little in common except for using similar calendars. VeryGoodBoy (talk) 22:39, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
