The school was founded in 1954 as Greenhill Secondary School, at Kings Road, Herne Bay. A year later the school moved to its present site in Bullockstone Road. On September 1st 1999 the school became a Foundation school and control was passed from Kent County Council to the Board of Governors. Exactly three years later on September 1st 2002 the school became a Specialist school and Sports College. Year groups consist of year 7-13. Dr C. Owen is headteacher. |

Herne Bay High Specialist School and Sports College is a mixed ability Foundation school, with designated Sports College status situated in Herne Bay, Kent, England. The school currently has on roll over 1,500 students.
