Today, our fellow Wikipedians, our way of life, our freedom came under attack, in a series of deliberate, yet mistaken, edits. The victims were the Wikipedia users going about their daily business. The corruption and damage done to these articles have filled us with disbelief and a quiet, unyielding anger.

These acts of mass editing were chaotic, but have failed. Our Wiki is strong. A great number of users have moved to defend a great Wiki. Vandalism can shake the credibility of our greatest articles, but they cannot touch the foundation of Wikipedia. These acts called into question the reliability of certain articles, but they cannot change the spirit of the Administrators or loyal users.

Wikipedia was targeted for the attack because we are the brightest beacon of freedom of information and opportunity on the Internet, and no one will keep that freedom from shining. Today our Wiki saw evil, and the very worst of vandal nature, and Wikipedia responded with it's administators. With the daring of admins, and the caring of average users, everyone helped in any way they could.

Therefore, I urge you, to unblock a mistaken and regretful user and allow him to continue working with other users for the good of the Wiki.

With best regards,
Anon.
