Merica Lane Lindell, from Tampa Bay, Florida, is the current Miss World United States and a model who has worked with Abercrombie, Hollister, Neiman Marcus, Gucci, Saks, Swimwear Express, etc. She represented the United States at the Miss World 2008 pageant in Johannesburg, South Africa, on December 13 where she won the Designer Dress Award. She is currently a full time student at the University of Georgia and works as a model with agencies in Atlanta, Miami & New York. Lane succeeded Abigail McCary as the new crown holder.
