Matt Bjorke of Roughstock commented: "Even though there’ll be some traditionalists out there who will hate the song for the simple fact that it was Underwood and not someone like [[Josh Turner]] releasing the single, this song is very much a welcomed addition to the charts." "I Told You So" is the title of a song written and originally recorded by American country music singer Randy Travis. Travis's rendition, released in 1988 from his album Always & Forever, reached Number One on the Billboard country charts in June of that year.[1] In 1989, it won an American Music Award for Favorite Country Single.[2]
