Giampaolo Pazzini (born August 2, 1984 in Pescia) is an Italian footballer, Was transfered on january 2009 to Sampdoria. He used to play for Fiorentina, having been transferred there from Atalanta in January 2005, with Valeri Bojinov from U.S. Lecce. As a powerful centre-forward, he was considered a natural replacement for former Fiorentina player Luca Toni by coach Cesare Prandelli.

Club career

The highlights of Giampaolo Pazzini's career so far include two goals scored against Juventus keeper, Gianluigi Buffon. He also holds the record for the fastest goal scored at the Wembley Stadium as well as the first official goal and first hat-trick at Wembley Stadium, all in one match for the Azzurrini.

International career

Pazzini was formerly a member of the Italy Under-21 team. He is also the first player to score a hattrick at the new Wembley Stadium.
