Naofumi Yamamoto (山本 尚史) (born July 1, 1977)[1] is an Japanese professional wrestler and boxer. He is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and working in their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).

Career

New Japan Pro Wrestling (2002-2008)

On December 27, 2003, Yamamoto lost to Ryusuke Taguchi to gain a spot on the card for New Japan's annual Tokyo Dome show, Wrestling World.[2]

On July 26, 2004, Yamamoto defeated esteemed amateur wrestler, Yujiro Takahashi, in his debut at Korakuen Hall.[3]

After Togi Makabe made his return on January 8, 2006, he teamed up with Toru Yano in a losing effort against Osamu Nishimura and Naofumi Yamamoto.[4]

World Wrestling Entertainment (2008-present)

Florida Championship Wrestling

In February 2008, Yamamoto left New Japan Pro Wrestling after the annual renewal period, instead signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and was assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling.Yamamoto won a match vs Kafu.
