Career

In 2009, Nolan Gerard Funk stars in the Nickelodeon original movie called Spectacular!. The film show cases him as a versatile performer featuring him as an actor, singer, dancer and even an acrobat. He will also be seen in the independent feature film "Triple Dog" hitting festivals later this year. He has appeared in guest starring roles on TV shows such as Supernatural, The L Word, Lie to Me, Castle, Killer Instinct and Smallville as well as a recurring role on Aliens In America. One of his first jobs was playing a mutant X-Men 2. In 2007, Nolan Gerard was nominated for a Leo Award in 'Best Performance in a Youth or Children's Program or Series'. An avid environmentalist, he can be seen in campaigns encouraging green habits for kids on Nickelodeon. In January of 2009, he had his first live performance in a concert with David Archuleta in New York City's Hard Rock Cafe. Often questioned about his considerably unique name, he confirmed in interviews that Funk is in fact his birth name from his family of origin. His first name Nolan Gerard is a combination of Nolan, a name his mother had dreamt, and Gerard, which was chosen by his father.
