Hi - why do you consider 1up.com a questionable source? Just trying to understand what the issue is with this http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Characters_in_Resident_Evil_2&diff=272837348&oldid=272837057. Thanks, --Oscarthecat (talk) 06:56, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not 1up.com that I'm talking about.
What are you talking about, and where have you explained why you've spent weeks revertwarring with anyone who disagrees with you? - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire - past ops) 01:06, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am talking about Xbox World 360 magazine. The article translates this interview conducted in Japanese: http://www.the-horror.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1031 Particularly this bit:

=================================

- The secretive female who plays a large role Actually you'll only see this at the end of the trailer. She'll be the focus for the next trailer. Look out for her in the midst of the next trailer.

- Is she from a previous game? I've been pretty forgetful lately. I can't recall, sorry (laugh)

- You liar! Will she play an important part in the story? Her existence, from every angle, plays an important. That's what I guessed. Speaking of which, I think any long time gamers of the series will have already made a good guess by now.

- Like say, a character who have been captured but haven't been rescued yet? She seems to experienced that (laugh) She's actually the thing which will make the gamer goes 'is this really a Biohazard game?' that I said earlier on.

=================================

Now the article takes the last question and assumes the only character that fits "a character has been captures but hasn't been rescued yet" is Sherry Birkin, and uses it to confirm she's in the game.

Not to mention the other garbage the same article mentioned. Not to say that because some is wrong it's all wrong, but no other source has said she's in the game, whereas the true information has been reported elsewhere.

- It is apparently confirmed to be a virus this time round, not a parsite. (FALSE)

- "Originating deep below the surface, the virus is released due to volcanic activity and turns hosts into maniacs that, crucially, retain all their intelligence and communication skills." (FALSE)

- The blonde girl in the red dress is apparently like Ashley. A person to rescue (for unknown reasons as of yet), and she will actually hide in barrels and stuff when she is told to or needs to. Apparently when you rescue her, this is when all hell breaks loose. (FALSE)

- The secondary character is apparently a mercenary not working for BSAA. (FALSE)

- The game will still lack strafing (FALSE)

- The game adds the ability to duck and dodge using the right analog stick. (FALSE)
