The plane was cleared for an approach on runway 18R (also known as the Polderbaan runway) but came down short of the [[Runway#"Sections" of a runway|runway threshold]]. The cause of the emergency remains unknown. The plane had a major maintenance check a few months ago and was certified airworthy. |
