Sancta Maria College is a secondary school located in Louisburgh, County Mayo, Ireland. Their are approximately 350 students enrolled. The school was Irelands first Catholic co-eduational secondary school[1].

Musical

The school produces a musical that is shown annually in Louisburgh Town Hall, usually the first weekend in February.

  • John Lyons, Author and former Deputy Principal.
  • P J Gibbons, Editor of Social and Personal Magazine.[6]


In 2008 the school was ranked 15 (out of 28) in Mayo for third level attendance with 77% progressing to third level.The vast majority of students enrolled in NUI Galway.[7]
