TV show aspect ratios
I noticed that you wrote the part about broadcast format for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which seems a bit confusing to me. It says "The show is shot in 16:9 aspect ratio with a 4:3 center-cut for standard definition television sets." But the aspect ratio is not something that strictly depends on the resolution of the tv set is it ? I take it that it's supposed to read that SDTV broadcasts may be using a 4:3 center-cut. (Although this isn't the case for the Tonight Show, at least not where I live). Bigmouth strikes (talk) 14:46, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

AfD notice

Hello, and thank you for your valuable contributions to Wikipedia! I am contacting you here to notify you that an article you created, Undernet Philosophy Channel, has been listed for possible deletion because it does not seem to meet Wikipedia's minimum notability requirements for articles (and specifically for web-based ones). A discussion will take place on the issue at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Undernet Philosophy Channel, and, if evidence can be provided that the topic is noteworthy enough for its own article (such as reliable references), it will be kept.

Sorry for any inconvenience, and we hope that you will not be discouraged if the article ends up deleted, as Wikipedia must maintain fairly high inclusion standards in order to avoid being swamped with trivia. Have a nice day! -Silence 01:34, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(Cross posted from there)

Its generally beyond the scope of this article if you ask me, generally the most common type of touch screen is the resistive, coming second is usage is capacitive, In consumer devices such as PDA's and Laptops/Tablet-pc etc. A 'easy' way to determine the difference between the two is that a resistive touchscreen can use an inert plastic stylus or even any sort of relatively pointed object(pen, fingernails), while a capacitive touch screen requires a finger (or some other conductive object) and wont work with non-conductive pointed objects. --58.110.132.123 (talk) 20:51, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh and maybe this link [1] might be of interest --58.110.132.123 (talk) 20:52, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
