For example the normal 3 year Bachelor degree can be completed within two years instead of the common time frame of three years. Similarly, the 1.5 year MBA and MIT program can be completed within one year.

Bringing programs direct from the parent campus, students studying at JCUS can be assured of the same quality and enriching university education.

The major student intakes occur during March, July and October.

JCU Singapore is now located at 600 Upper Thomson. The new sprawling 4.5-acre (18,000 m2) campus bullt to accommodate 3500 students.

Student mix

Half of the students enrolled are Singaporeans with the remaining consist of a mix of students from India, China, Maldives, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Japan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Sweden, Finland and also from USA.

John Tan suspension controversy

On October 21, 2008, lecturer John Tan, the assistant secretary-general of the Singapore Democratic Party, was suspended by JCU Singapore. The university cited the pending contempt of court case against Tan for wearing a T-shirt of a kangaroo in judge's clothing at the defamation trial of SDP secretary-general Chee Soon Juan.[1] In response, JCU has been accused of compromising academic freedom and freedom of speech.[2]
