Ballad of the Blues is a 1959 album by Jo Stafford. It is a concept album which tells a story through song, showcasing the influence of the Blues. The album has a predominantly pop setting and sees Stafford accompanied by her husband Paul Weston and backed by The Starlighters. Originally released in 1959 it was re-issued in 2003 with extra tracks featuring Stafford's explanation of the original release. One the Starlighters is Thurl Ravenscroft who later became known as the voice of "Tony the Tiger," for Kellogg's Frosted Flakes
