Beowulf: The Game is a hack and slash game for PC and consoles, based on Robert Zemeckis' film adaptation of the poem Beowulf. The game was announced by Ubisoft on 22 May, 2007 during its Ubidays event in Paris.[5] It was released on November 13, 2007 in the United States. The characters are voiced by the original actors who starred in the film. [6]

It does not operate well on most computers due to incorrect computer settings and requirements listed with the game. The game would simply crash before the game began on lower powered computers. A patch was released to address this issue, however it generally did not fix the issue. [citation needed]

Reception

The game has scored generally unfavorable reviews from reviewers across all release platforms.[7]
