The Australian Technology Network (ATN) is an alliance of five Australian universities of technology. Each recieves more media attention and first preferences than the other "universities of technology" in their respective states.

The ATN’s stated aim is to help secure Australia’s reputation as the clever country, and contribute to its social and economic wealth, while championing the principles of access and equity that have ensured its members are the universities of first choice for more students.

The Australian Technology Network comprises five Australian universities, each based in a different state of Australia:

Curtin University of Technology (1986, antecedants 1902)

Curtin University of Technology is Western Australia's largest university with over 31,000 students. It takes its name from the former Prime Minister of Australia from 1941-1945, John Curtin.

University of Technology Sydney (1988, antecedants 1843)

Queensland University of Technology (1989, antecedants 1908)

QUT has 40,000 EFT students.

University of South Australia (1991, antecedants 1890)

The University of South Australia is South Australia's newest university.

RMIT University (1992, antecedants 1887)

RMIT University has grown to become one of the largest in the country, with 57,000 EFT students. RMIT offers more than 200 TAFE and higher educational programs across a broad range of fields. It's strengths include engineering, business, IT, the life sciences, communications and fashion.

Of the ATN members, RMIT holds the best The Times Higher Education Supplement World University Rankings rank.
