Molecular Diversity Preservation International (MDPI) is an organization for deposit and exchange of molecular and biomolecular samples. Founded and registered in 1996, its headquarters is located in Basel, Switzerland. The missions of MDPI are:

to preserve permanently historically significant research chemical samples in the chemical museum in Basel, Switzerland
to share and exchange any other rare chemical samples worldwide to make the samples readily available to other professionals by publishing in MDPI's searchable database at the www.molmall.org server.
