The original article was posted to a listserv, PACS-L which evidently made it way to the Usenet sporadically. I cannot find Rick Gate's original message. When "interpedia" occured in usenet there seemed to already exist a mailing list interpedia@telerama.lm.com (see Google Groups: [1]) Rick's posting is definitely not in Google Groups: [2]

This document (Nov 1993) is also interesting.
