Aamna Shariff is an Indian TV/Film actress. She is known mainly for playing the role of Kashish in the popular Star Plus drama Kahiin To Hoga with her co-star Rajeev Khandelwal. She became a household name after the show and her character became a cultural icon.[1]
She also had a guest appearance in Deal Ya No Deal hosted by Rajeev.[2] She had also been guest with her co-star Rajeev in Khul Ja Sim Sim hosted by Hussain. In Deal Ya No Deal Rajeev has proposed to her. Her chemistry with Rajeev on stage is very good. She Studied in Indian School Bahrain.
She is working with Aftab in movie Aloo Chaat.[3] She has worked in many video songs for a long time. She has proven herself by winning many awards for television shows.
Career
When she was in her second year of college, she got a lot of modelling offers and endorsed many brands such as; Close-Up Toothpaste, Betel Mobile phones, Emami Cosmetic Cream, Clearasil Skin Cream, Nescafe and many others. Up till now , she has done fifty ads. Along the line, she did a music video sung by Kumar Sanu called "Dil Ka Alam Main Kya Bataun Tujhe" and she also did a music video sung by Falguni Pathak called "Yeh Kisne Jadoo Kiya" and "Chalney Lagin Hain Hawain" sung by Abhijeet and "ly ly so rupiya"sung by (daler mehdi) and "nachana kamal tera" (shael)She made her debut in the Balaji Telefilms serial "Kahiin To Hoga" where she acted as the eldest sister in a middle class family. Her first feature film Aloo Chaat opposite Aftab Shivdasani released on March 20, 2009.and she is doing another film again with aftab shivdasani titled"sub sey peechey hum kharey'.Aamna is recently married to Zohaib Maredia from Karachi. Zohaib, who is recently studying Electrical Engineering at RMIT, Australia. she was also working in a beauty parlor
Personal Life
She was born on 16 July 1982 into a Muslim family. From childhood she always wanted to be an actress but because of disapproval from family members she had to keep the idea away for a long time. She later managed to convince her parents to let her act . She has graduated university and has also worked as a salesperson in a boutique before getting a modeling contract.
