'Poetry Of The Deed' is the forthcoming third album by UK singer-songwriter Frank Turner. It is due to be released on 7th September 2009 via Xtra Mile Recordings in the UK and Epitaph Records worldwide.

Background

After extensive touring behind the release of Love, Ire & Song in 2008, Turner began writing new material, with a few songs (Live Fast, Die Young & Dan's Song) appearing at gigs in late 2008.

Unlike his first two studio records, the album was rehearsed and recorded with his full band as opposed to the previous method of Turner recording the bulk of the music himself with Nigel Powell providing drums and piano. Before the start of recording, Turner and his band played four gigs in Oxford in order to road-test 14 new songs.

The album was produced by Alex Newport with the songs being live to tape and was recorded at a residential studio in Norwich and the producer's own studio in Brooklyn, NYC.

Tracklisting

The tracklisting was announced on the NME [1] website on Monday 8th June.
