"Jars"
Song

"Jars" is the first single from Chevelle's fifth studio album Sci-Fi Crimes. It was released to Radio Stations June 23 and also as a digital download on Chevelle's website. It was chosen out of two other songs, "Letter From a Thief" and "Sleep Apnea", to be the first single from the album.[1]. Drummer Sam Loeffler told 99.3 The Fox that this song's subject matter reflects the quirky themes of Sci-Fi Crimes. He explained that the song is, "a kind of a play on words. It's saving the environment. It's a joke about saving the environment and it's about literally taking the earth, and putting it into jars to save it for later. It's very tongue in cheek." [2]

The official music video was released on August 25, 2009.
