Long Distance Calling are a German Post Rock band, formed in 2006 in Münster. Their long (over 5 minutes) and melancholic tracks are mostly instrumental, but some of them feature guest vocalists: Peter Dolving from The Haunted (The Very Last Day and Swallow the Water, album Satelite Bay) and Jonas Renkse from Katatonia (The Nearing Grave, album Avoid The Light). Long Distance Calling have released two singles and two full-length albums, both received very positively by critics: Satellite Bay (2007) [1] [2] [3] and Avoid the Light (2009) [4] [5] [6]. In 2008 the band played at the Rock am Ring [7] and Roadburn festivals, in 2009 toured Germany [8].
